From Cradle To Grave

With multiple choirs and ensembles, St. Margaret Mary Parish has a large, very active and comprehensive music program that provides great enhancement and service to our liturgies.

Music ministry at St. Margaret Mary is based on the "cradle to grave" concept and approach - we welcome all ages (starting with Kindergarten) on the understanding that a love of music ministry starts at a young age and continues through our lives. Even if individuals do not graduate through all the choirs here, we have faith that their experience will plant the seed and bear fruit through future involvement in the larger Church. As a director I cannot tell you how many times I have interviewed people who tell me they used to sing in school or church in their younger days and they now want to get back into it!

Joyful Noises is our preparatory (and noisiest) choir for Kindergarten to 2nd Grade. Heavenly Voices is for children in 3rd thru 5th Grade. Starting in 6th Grade thru High School, young people can be in the Youth Quake Qoir. Adult music ministries are open to anyone 16 years old and up, and the Parish Orchestra is open to instrumentalists of all ages (with at least two years of experience with their instrument).

A simple, non-intimidating interview/audition (by appointment) is required for adult groups to make sure you can actually hold a tune and to help orient you to the commitment!

There is no audition for Children's and Youth music ministries.
